Announcement of shortlist cricketers for ICC awards
The shortlist of cricketers for the ICC Awards has been announced, with no Pakistanis included in any of the categories.
The list of shortlisted cricketers released for the International Cricket Council's annual awards features Australian and Indian players, while not a single Pakistani is included in any of the categories.
According to the announced list, Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja have been shortlisted for the ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year, while for the Test Cricketer of the Year, Ashwin, Travis Head, Usman Khawaja and Jo The route is selected.
The nominees for ODI cricketers include Shimbun Gill, Virat Kohli, Daryl Mitchell and Mohammad Shami, while the T20 of the Year award will go to one of Mark Chapman, Ramjani, Sikandar Raza and Surya Kumar Yadav.
For the Emerging category, one of Kotze, Jaiswal, Madushanka, Rachan Ravendra will win the award. The International Cricket Council (ICC) will announce the recipients of the annual award at the end of January.
