The email demands the release of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. In the context of this case, the Crime Branch has arrested a person from Rajkot city of Gujarat on Wednesday night. Police say that the threatening mail was sent by the same person. Coradia said that there is no need to be afraid of emails or threats. Ahmedabad Police is a competent force and full-proof security arrangements are being made in the city.
He added that there will be modern security arrangements at the gates of the stadium, checking will be done in vehicles, hotels and guest houses and we will keep an eye on specific elements.e

One lakh fans are expected to come to the stadium for the match. According to a senior police officer, 11,000 security personnel including Gujarat Police, National Security Guard Commando, anti-riot forces and home guards will be deployed on security duty in the stadium and the city on the day of the match. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupinder Patel on Tuesday reviewed the security arrangements with the state's home minister, state police chief and other top police officials. He has directed the top officials to take all possible steps to conduct this important match smoothly so that no untoward incident takes place. City Police Commissioner Lee S Malik has said that emergency measures are also being taken to deal with the stampede in the stadium. Security personnel are practicing rescue and relief operations at the stadium. Security has already been tightened at all gates and perimeters of the stadium.
Meanwhile, the police on Wednesday arrested four people for selling fake tickets for the Pakistan India match. These people were selling fake tickets for twenty thousand rupees. Ahmedabad Police has released six security features of the original ticket and urged fans to check their tickets before reaching the stadium.
