Istanbul English football club Manchester City also won the European Champions League trophy. At the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, the Italian club won the title of European champions for the first time by defeating Inter Milan 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by Rodri in the 68th minute. 

Along with this, Manchester City has also become the second English team to achieve the treble by winning the English Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League. Earlier in the 1998-1999 season, Manchester United had won all three of these events simultaneously.
