On Sunday afternoon, the atmosphere at the Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad was filled with emotion following the news of the death of an Indian cricketer. Prior to the IPL-2023 match between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH vs RR), the ground was in a state of mourning. 

The players and millions of spectators were visibly affected by the news, and players and umpires wore black armbands in honor of the veteran player who had passed away.During Sunday's match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the toss and chose to invite Rajasthan Royals to bat first. 

Notably, all the players and umpires were seen wearing black armbands as a tribute to the late Indian cricketer Salim Durrani, who had passed away earlier that day.Salim Durani, the legendary Indian player of the 1960s, passed away on Sunday. He was 88 years old and was battling cancer for a long time. His personality looked like a film hero. Sources close to Salim's family confirmed the sad news. He lived in Jamnagar, Gujarat with his younger brother Jahangir Durrani. In January this year, he underwent surgery after fracturing his thigh bone. Kabul-born Salim Durrani was the first Indian cricketer to be awarded the Arjuna Award. Used to hit sixes on the demand of fans Salim Durrani was not only famous for his brilliant batting, but also used to do left arm spin. He was famous for hitting a six on the demand of cricket fans. Salim played 29 Test matches in his career, scoring a total of 1202 runs with the help of a century and 7 half-centuries. During this, he also showed amazing with the ball and also took 75 wickets.Salim Durani, the iconic Indian cricketer of the 1960s, passed away on Sunday at the age of 88 after a prolonged battle with cancer.
