Kane is ready to match England and America
"He's fine," Southgate said in an interview with
ITV. "He trained again on his own today, but he's back in the national
team tomorrow and everything is going well for the game."
The Tottenham striker was the victim of a rough foul in the
50th minute during the crushing victory over Iran 6-2 on Monday at the start of
the group competition, to leave the field in the 75th minute and replace him
with Callum Wilson.
Kane went to rest in the days following the match, before
undergoing medical examinations that proved that he had not suffered a serious
injury.
Southgate confirmed his striker's readiness, saying:
"We checked to be sure (...) but everything is going well."
And he added, "The injury is more in the foot than the
ankle. It was a strong tackle, but fortunately he passed it without much
damage."
The England national team hopes to achieve its second
successive victory against the United States, which tied at the start of its
matches against Wales 1-1, to reach the final price early.
