Doha: In the FIFA World Cup 2022, England started their campaign on a winning note by winning the match against Iran.                           

In the first match of Group B played at the Khalifa International Stadium, England defeated Iran by 6 goals to 2.                        

England's Jude Bellingham gave Britain the lead in the 35th minute, which was doubled by Bukayo Saka in the 43rd minute. Raheem Sterling scored the third goal in extra time of the first half to strengthen England's position. 

In the second half, Saka scored the second goal and England's fourth goal in the 62nd minute. Marcus Rashford scored the fifth in the 71st minute and Jack Grealish the sixth in the 89th minute.
