Zimbabwe beat Pakistan in T20 World Cup Super 12 match.
On
behalf of Pakistan, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan started the innings and
Babar Azam was caught out after scoring 4 runs off 9 balls, while wicketkeeper
Mohammad Rizwan also returned to the pavilion after scoring 14 runs for a total
of 23 runs. Later, Iftikhar Ahmed's innings ended on 36 runs.
In the T20 World Cup, Zimbabwe had given Pakistan a target of 131 runs to win.
In
the match played in Perth, Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat first
against Pakistan.
On
behalf of Zimbabwe, Shaun Williams scored 31 runs and captain Craig Aarons
scored 19 and 19 runs respectively. For Pakistan, Mohammad Wasim dismissed four
while Shadab Khan dismissed three players
Muhammad Wasim was included in the playing XI
in place of Asif Ali.
It should be noted that in the first match of T20 World Cup, India defeated Pakistan, in which Virat Kohli played a brilliant innings of his career.
India
chased down Pakistan's target of 160 runs with the loss of 6 wickets on the
last ball and defeated Pakistan by 4 wickets after a thrilling contest.
