Dubai: Who will be the host of the Asia Cup? The UAE authorities are active in getting the host. ACC President Jai Shah has started considering the proposal to host the UAE.

According to sources, UAE officials have met ACC President Jay Shah in India and have expressed keen interest in hosting the Asia Cup. Jay Shah has said that UAE has been the first choice of BCCI in the past. Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah were declared the best viewing spots for the Asia Cup. Jay Shah has started considering the proposal of making the UAE the host of the Asia Cup, after which Sri Lanka is likely to drop out. However, the PCB is still waiting for ACC's response on the hybrid model of the Asia Cup. According to reports from India, the BCCI has rejected PCB's hybrid model for the Asia Cup.
