An important decision regarding the hosting of the Asia Cup is expected in India today

According to an official of the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI), they will try to reach a conclusion in discussions with the officials of the Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan boards on the occasion of the final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) today.

A BCCI official said that there are many issues to discuss. The Asia Cup is not officially on the agenda in today's meeting, but the issue of the Asia Cup will be considered.

According to an official of the Indian Cricket Board, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has the support of some Asian countries on the issue of the hybrid model of the Asia Cup. BCCI will also be ready to give conditional approval.

It should be noted that the final of IPL will be played today between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans, in which the officials of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan boards have been invited by Secretary Jay Shah to watch the final match.

It should also be kept in mind that the PCB had earlier taken a tough stance on hosting the Asia Cup and asked to hold the entire tournament in Pakistan. Later, PCB relaxed its position and presented a hybrid model in which the first 4 matches of the tournament were proposed to be played in Pakistan and the rest outside Pakistan.
