Sri Lankan legendary player Sanath Jayasuriya remembered the 1996 Cricket World Cup played in Pakistan. It should be noted that Sri Lanka won the World Cup by defeating Australia by 7 wickets in the final of the Wills Cricket World Cup played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. It was Sri Lanka's first trophy in any ICC tournament. In the event, Santh Jayasuriya was declared the best player of the tournament and was also given a car as a prize. The old and new picture of the same vehicle was shared by the former Sri Lankan captain. He also co-authored "Golden Memories: 27 Years of World Cup Men of the Series".
