Chelsea is the first English Premier League club to host an iftar for the Muslim community The event at Chelsea's Stamsford Bridge Stadium opened with a speech by Dawshan Hamzah, a member of the charity's advisory board, followed by Daniel Finkelston, chairman of the Chelsea Foundation, as well as former Chelsea player Paul Connolly.

Daniel Finkelston said, "We are a big community thanks to our supporters from different backgrounds and we want to honor, respect and share in the joy of each and every fan." "Being the first Premier League club to host an Iftar is very special and something we are very proud of," he said. The Iftar was organized on an occasion when the Ramadan Tent Project completed its 10 years this year.

A large number of people participated in the Iftar, after which Imran Abul Hassan led the prayer. The event was part of Chelsea and the Foundation's campaign against racism and discrimination.
