Rabat: The Moroccan team, which reached the semi-finals after defeating strong rivals like Spain and Portugal in the Qatar Football World Cup, received a grand welcome upon its arrival home.
Morocco became the first Arab and African team to reach the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup, a performance at the mega-event that received worldwide acclaim. A bus parade was held for the players upon their return, with thousands of Moroccan soccer fans taking to the streets to catch a glimpse of their heroes, who gave the team a warm welcome.
