T20 World Cup final, chance of rain, extended play on reserve day
Melbourne: Due to the
possibility of rain in the T20 World Cup final, the duration of the reserve day
has been extended. According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), the
technical committee has extended the duration of play in the reserve day and revised
the rules 13, 7 and 3 from 2 to 4 hours. The ICC said that a minimum of 10
overs per innings is required to complete the match and every effort will be
made to complete the final match on Sunday itself. Also Read: If the possible
overs remain incomplete due to rain then the match will enter the reserve day
and the match on the reserve day will start at 3 pm local time. It should be
noted that the final of ICCT20 Cricket World Cup on Sunday, November 13 will be
played between Pakistan and England, but there is a high possibility of rain in
Melbourne on the day of the final.
